Watched it again!

Yup watched it again, then came to the board to see if there was any new discussion but there's not :( I guess I am certainly the minority in that I loved this film! I always loved the Peter Pan story, I'm a 43 year old kid but I did have to grow up somewhat and accept responsibilities, enter the adult world etc but there's always a part of me that will be in Neverland with Peter and the lost boys! I remember at about the age of 13 knowing nothing like this could be true but still wishing it was and wishing Peter would show up and take me to Neverland.

The reason I like this version so much is because any and all of it could be real. Lots of kids run away and live in places like abandoned amusement parks. Maybe not literally but they make where they are an amusement park and they delay growing up. And it looks so great, but there's another side that isn't so great, the side of the pirates trying to prey on you, the side that tinkerbell found in her fairy dust. So many pretty colors but there's a price to pay. Eventually peter too will have seen so much and had to deal with so much that without realizing it he too will grow up. Sad :(

I was on my own for a bit as a teen and there were many fun times, there were also some really bad times and eventually I got out and grew up but I still look back on those times with much fondness. People think I'm crazy, how could I have enjoyed being without a home, parents, food & shelter?? Well because I had my lost boys and we had fun! I miss my lost boys!
