So sad (spoilers)
The ending had me sobbing when poor Johnnie dies. I would think it affects Georgie the most,but this really tore me. He stood out and did what he felt like. Gosh:(

I was actually doing some homework whilst watching the end and my book was totally tear stained by the end of it!
Its mainly the scene with Lala and Queen Mary that had me crying!
I don't know what it is about that scene, its partly the fact that I think Mary realises that Lala knew her son perhaps better than she did.
Its also the way Mary goes "he is gone isn't he,"
Before you criticize the queen too harshly, please read up on the subject- this was very much film fiction. She is said to have loved John very much, and visited him frequently (quite the opposite was shown in the film). He was not entirely isolated either; he had a female companion.
