Closing Line

In the final scene, Burt says, "I don't belong in the 20th Century..." - the film was made not long after 9/11, and by the sound of his voice, it seems he really meant what he was saying (except that Burt might have been referring to the 21st Century)...

I tend to agree since I'm not much younger - too many changes in today's world and it just doesn't suit me the way it used to...

Incredible too that when I was born the world had 2.5 or so million residents - now it's closer to 8 and as a result of that and too much technology the world has become too complex for simple minds like mine...

A very violent film for Hallmark but it was made by the creators of "Lonesome Dove" and it does come across the same way, because both the main characters in this film resemble at least in spirit Capts. McCrae and Call in Lonesome Dove...
