whats the worst movie you ever saw in theatres?

THE VILLAGE!!!!!

The Village is hands-down the WORST movie ever created. I remember seeing it in theatres expecting a lot from it because it was an M. Night Shyamalan movie and afterwards I was so pissed that I wasted my money on that crap.

My other two choices are:
Ice Age 2
Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (I don't know why the hell I wanted to see that)

I actually thought "The Village" wasn't that bad, but I did figure out pretty quickly that they were living in modern times, more so on a hunch than any real "evidence."

The worst I ever saw in a theater has to be "Yours, Mine, and Ours" closely followed by "Be Cool". It would have been "Freedomland", but only saw it last night on DVD.

2nd Blair Witch. I loved the first and so wanted to see the second, and at this point in my life years later, i still want that hour and a half back.

The worst movie I saw in theaters was "The Mod Squad." I can't believe I even wanted to see this *beep* I was literally in a daze when the movie was playing, that's how *beep* boring and pointless the movie was.

I know most people will think I'm nuts, but "Shrek 2". I enjoyed "Shrek" (the first one), but I walked out on Shrek 2. It was WAY too contrived and they just tried too hard. No imagination, no originality, ANYONE could have written the sight gags for that one.

Another was "Robin Hood - Men In Tights". Same reasons as above. No imagination and anyone could have written the gags.

Lady in the Water - my only justification for not walking out was that I paid $8.75 to see it! So, I stayed to get my "money's worth."

'Lost in Space' *shudder*

The Ring Two. I wanted it to be good. I really, really wanted it to be good. If only the entire movie was as brilliant as the last scene (which was actually scary and creepy). I mean come on, random deer attacks? Grr...I hate when they change directors for sequels...oh well. Hopefully The Descent is as good and horrifying as everyone says.

if you think the village is "the worst film ever created", then you must not have seen very many films. i'm not trying to seem condescending, but at least the village had fine production values and two good performances. the village is a simple allegory, not unlike some old episodes of the original twilight zone. from the other choices you have made, i'm guessing that you're pretty young, so in that case i guess i understand where you're coming from.

i dare you to sit through the judas project. i swear, it is the only film i have ever been tempted to walk out of.

the judas project, stop! or my mom will shoot, battlefield earth
showgirls, leonard part 6, the blair witch project, popeye, titanic, twin peaks:fire walk with me, dune,...are all worse films than the village, that i have seen in theaters. i won't even get into the films i've seen on video and dvd that are worse than the village.
