Does anyone know the name of the poem that zooey does in the movie

I have looked but can't seem to find it and don't really want to have to rent it again.

Do you mean the letter that she reads at the end? I would guess that it only exists in the movie, not in some poetry book somewhere.

Edgar Allen (or Allan) Poe ^^

A sincere apology is just a manipulation tactic like forgiveness or generosity.

It is not "The Raven".

I would also like a transcript of the letter, which does read very much like poetry. I always get choked up hearing it, and now outright cry since the death of a cloe family member.

I thought the letter was written by Ryan to her? which doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but there's like a flashback to when he gave the letter to her and he said something like 'heres the answer to your question, and could we go inside and discuss it before you open that?'

but then it doesn't really make sense that Ryan would write that, but it does because it'd sort of be like Ryan expressing his feelings to Kate when she left and didn't come back.

that was probably kind of confusing, but i'm gonna watch the movie again and see if i cant write down what shes saying.

Yes, it was written from Ryan to her, because he was in love with her, and she kept leaving. However, given what the family learned about Grandpa, it was very appropriate for the eulogy.

I've got the first few lines and the last few lines now, I flipped channels just in time to catch the poem, but not enough time to hit "record". I couldn't write fast enough to keep up with her.

The letter is in the memorable quotes section :)

Oooh, there's Mr Umbrella Man. I can't get wet. The rain hurts me.

I have watch the movie twice and finally I have understood what´s the poem.

There´s a scene at the beggining, when Ryan and Kate meet each other again and she tells him she doesn´t know what to write about her granpa, and she ask him: "What would you write about me?" The poem is "the answer to your question", that Ryan gives her at the end of the movie and Kate reads in front of the family as a eulogy to grandpa.

I agree with you completely, this movie is great and underrated, very funny and excellent performances

" 'What I'd Say About You'

Did you really leave me again?

After all the seasons I spent waiting. Watching out the window. Listening at the door. Waiting for the news of your return. For the news that you realized someone important was waiting for you.

A whole lifetime I've been waiting. I can't believe you're not coming back. I can't believe I'm supposed to stop waiting. I can't believe you left me again."
