If you want to see a better movie, see...
See Death At A Funeral. That's a good one. Eulogy is total crap by comparison. (Also it's total crap anyway.)

shareBoth films have a somewhat similar plot. For my money, though, Eulogy is head and shoulders above Death at a Funeral.
Maybe it's American style vs. British style, but DAAF left me cold. It just semed an excuse unending bathroom humor. While Eulogy certainly had a touch of that -- as well as some slapstick -- it also had plenty of subtle humor (i.e., Daniel doing his ranting scene from 'Death of a Salesmasn' about putting your hands up, then several seconds later the camera pans and we see alice's dimbulb husband sitting in another room with his hands up!) and some tenderness.
I found Eulogy vastly funnier, more entertaining and a much better production.
Death At A Funeral had that great speech though, you know the one, where he improvises the eulogy and it's really good. Eulogy didn't have that great moment for me, plus it was mocking lesbians and suicide etc.
shareYou could make the point that DAAF was mocking midgets, gay males, senior
citizens and/or the handicapped (or should I say handy-crapped in the old man's case?).
Anyway, we agree to disagree! :o)
Well to be honest, I love both Eulogy and Death at a Funeral [British original].
shareBoth are good...haters trash DAAF more though, I think!?
