What a bunch of spoiled brats ~

I liked the movie but sheesh the kids were so demanding, selfish and disobedient. The only actually nice kid was Fedex.

The older ones had enough maturity to have considered the whole situation and as young adults they could have helped out - gee they'd only have had to help for a couple of weeks. Lazy, selfish and so self-righteous about maintaining their sense of entitlement.

A family is a team - when did the kids consider giving back a bit to their parents? It's not like the kids had anything to lose by helping their parents make it work.

I wish the plot of the movie had involved the kids changing their attitudes and deciding to make things right. Instead, they just got their way like a bunch of indulged brats.

I agree with you! The parents had to give up on their dreams just because the kids couldn't get along?? Hilary Duffs character was old enough to help, and so were the younger ones.

Maybe the parents should have sat the children down (at least the preteens and up) and told them that they had to deal with the new.house and each other, and to be a little.bit more considerate to the parents' dreams.

I get it's tough to move, but you should get along with your family no matter where you live!

Watching it right now and I'm thinking the same thing.

I agree to an extent, but still, parents should never expect their children to be babysitters within the family. Of course they parents could've paid them to help out.

Did you grow in a big family?

That is EXACTLY what happens to older kids: they get stuck babysitting the younger ones. One of the (few) disadvantages of being elder amongst siblings.

I agree with the OP
