Worst. Movie. Ever.

I cannot believe Blockbuster marketed this flick. I filmed a better movie in my junior year in high school with a camcorder. I mean the typos at the beginning of the thing? No editors? I took it back to the rental place and said the sound was bad and I wasn't paying (no lie - the sound was bad). They should be sued. Horrible doesn't even describe it - I am an avid horror fan - I watch all kinds of shoddy B flicks. This is a like a Z flick. Wow.

Boba Fett? Boba Fett? Where?!"

**IF ANYONE LIKES THIS MOVIE THEY R F**KING BRAIN DEAD. **

I doubt that everyone who likes this movie is "brain dead." At least most people have enough common sense to know not to post everything they write in all caps.

Please refrain from insulting large groups of people that you do not know personally, and please turn your cap lock off. When you write in all capital letters, it's like shouting in someone's face, and it is very rude.

Thank you.

it's a horrible movie but it's pretty damn funny when you watch it with friends. when i saw it, one of the kids i watched it with had already seen it so we knew going into it to basically treat it as a comedy

reply

Dude, this movie was the absolute worst. I have seen a few of these weird Direct to video no Brainers, and they were all Awful, but were Golden Glode winners compared to this trash. Jeez, it was funny at some parts because of how horrible it was... but still. You wanna see a real bad movie that's so enjoyable because of how horribly acted it is? See R.O.T.O.R. God, I've never laughed to hard.

Lol.. okay, 'THA PIMPETTE' this movie is the complete opposite of everything you just said.

Loud - you can barely hear a thing
Scary - Nope.

A lot more wrong with it, but I won't go into that now.

Something Awful had a hilarious review of this movie. Don't see the movie; read this.

This movie was actually made in the early '90's by a group of students from Morgan State University headed by Michael M'fume and Joe Clair and screened as a comedy.

Saw it in February 1992 at Reisterstown Road Plaza in Baltimore. Kweisi Mfume must've pulled some strings with the theater chain. Don't know the budget for "The Weekend It Lives" (its original title) but for the student-made movie it seemed to be when the production made local news, the opening credits sequence actually looked promising. However, this movie SUCKED. Believe everything written here. It's nowhere near so-bad-it's-good bad. I heard Michael Mfume wasn't even properly feeding his crew during the shoot (that's a basic minimum requirement for any production work). Judging by this garbage movie I believe it.

I'm finally glad to see other people have found the wonderful world of Ax 'Em! LOL I actually picked this up along time ago on VHS because the cover looked ok. I figured it would be just a cheesey slasher movie (and it was free). But was i surprised when i put it in the vcr lol. I wish MST3K could get ahold of it for a DTV release of the show. That would be great.

Damn, I spilled my Big Gulp!

Wow... and here I thought the only thing Manos had above this was that it had a theatrical release, but I guess Weekend It Lives/Ax'em/Whatever has that honor, too. All told, then, I agree: worst movie ever. At least Manos is funny: gotta love Torgo!

I'm going to have to disagree with the statement of Ax 'Em being the worst movie ever. On the contrary, its the best movie ever. How'd the Academy overlook this stunning entry into the "shot for less than $100 and features someone being killed with a telephone" horror movie genre? Michael "Mfume" Mfume and Nubian Prince Productions have delivered the goods, lived up to the hype, and knocked this one right out of the park. Bravo.

somehow on this site i stumbled across someone saying the movie "ax 'em" had a 1.2 rating.. so i checked it out and with all of the horrid reviews i had to rent it. well after watching it, it was mostly what i expected... a very bad horror movie. not the greatest actors.. but definetely better than i expected.. but they were the only thing that was better than i expected. although this was made early 90's from what i've heard.. it was still ridiculous. the picture looks like the director walked around with a cellphone and recorded it on its camera. also.. every heard of a boom mike? i am still not sure if this is the worst horrow film i have ever seen. its a toss up between this and dark harvest.. but considering that this movie was made 10 years earlier and by college students (in that regard) it is better than dark harvest. but i have two questions:
1- why was this made in '92 and released in '02
2- how did it make it to a family video?????

Sheesh, you have to be f**cking brain dead to NOT think this film is one of the unintentionally FUNNIEST movies EVER MADE! I laughed my ass off the entire time. Some of the people on this board must have a big log shoved up their ass constantly if they can't sit back, not take serious, and enjoy a simple film like this.

I thought the movie was pretty damn bad, but I'[m shocked to say I've seen worse. I mean, this is really bad, but when you compare it to "Violent Sh*t" "Night of Horror" and "Mr. Ice Cream Man", it isn't nearly as bad. And speaking of MICM, that was ANOTHER movie that was shot in the early 90's (in '91 according to the credits) and released in 2002.

this is a must see horrible movie, probly top 5 worst you will ever find at blockbuster or netflix. But if you love bad horror youve got to see Christine Whitlock's movies. She only has 3 but they are all possibly worse than Ax'em. Vampire Dentist, 1.2 rating. Sharp Teeth, 1.5 rating. And Marina Monster, 1.7. all on netflix instant.

This is the only movie on IMDB that actually deserves its "Worst Movie Ever" thread.
