is 'Bully' afraid?

i think micheal herbig is afraid of doing more serious movies, this whole "bully" and slapstick thing is an act of disconcertedness

while this fear of critic is really understandable and comedy a good way work while avoiding debates and too hard critics, he should at least think about doing some more serious movies

i dont mean some dark literature filming but maybe some action or science fiction movie where he doesnt break every intense moment with some stupid joke

especially in surprise he ruined some of his best takes with really bad ones(forgotten bra, im a loser in bed...), some more courage for drama would suit him well, he is good, no need for constraints

we dont have a lot good directors, and he has a nowadays very unique classical hollywood style
but well, he isnt in a hurry, as clint eastwood showed: its never too late
