Release Questions

Does anyone know if you can get this on DVD in the US? I tried looking for it and ill could find was releases overseas. So, I bought one forgetting about how their video system is different from US. I've already broken one DVD player trying to play it. Does anyone know where I could get an american copy. Or maybe how I could get this one converted?
