I know I’m late to the party on this show but damn is it good.
So the guy that killed Bill came back in disguise and I assume he’s performing a ruse to get back at the town for the trial. But no one seems to notice him and he doesn’t seem to do get revenge. This is the only thing I don’t understand right now. Somebody would’ve remembered him by now?? Has he been gone so long?
Garret Dillahunt, who played Jack McCall on Deadwood came back and played Francis Wolcott, which was an entirely different character so he wasn't coming back in disguise.
Apparently the director, David Milch was known to reuse actors for various roles, especially if he liked the actor. A lot of people wouldn't necessarily pick up on the fact that it's the same actor playing two roles but people with a keen eye would easily be able to tell that.
Garret Dillahunt did such a fantastic job in both rôles!
shareIt's so funny how I've recognized Garret (now) in some of his other roles. If he was a mediocre actor, I don't think he wouldn't make an impression. After watching him in Deadwood, now I see that he was the antagonist in the movie, The Last House On The Left. Besides that he was also on Justified with Timothy Olyphant.
