Lousy Blue Ray menu

If you have the BD I suppose you've experienced this.

I'll try to explain.

You put in a disc and want to go to the 2nd, 3rd or 4th episode on that disc.

Well, if you just click on "episodes" you're out of luck. Going to episode 2 will not be an option. What you'll need to do is start the first episode and THEN bring the menu back up. At that point you'll find the choice for 1, 2, 3 and 4.

HBO has never understood how to author BDs. Every single series is done just as poorly.

Well... I don't care for the menu either. In my mind, the menu should let you go from anywhere, to anywhere... not force you to endure, yet again, the little blurb with baited anticipation, before the next set of options appear... which then, may or may not allow you to access what you seek next... or, may let you back out of that sub-menu, back to the main-menu, which then, and only then, allows you to access the desired sub-menu, which then, if still awake, allows you to access what you wanted... but not before doing the hokey-pokey, and turning yourself around... and that's what it's all about. I suppose it was all kinds of meaningful and impressive when they first screened it... and they were likely sober, too.
Anyway... I watch the boxed set alot! I used to be into all of the tech stuff, but I digress.
Here's the fastest way I've found to nav this puppy:
1. insert DVD; wait for main menu.
2. select episode.
3. goto "scene selections".
4. select desired scene (let's you skip Deadwood title vid).
5. at end, chapter forward til sub-menu. (or select menu on remote, if applicable).
6. repeat... 'episode', 'scene sel', etc.

Thanks for this. I have the same issue with Game of Thrones Blu-ray. Annoying.
