Did HBO provide alternate endings?

Just re-watched Deadwood having not seen it since it originally aired. It was even more fantastic the second time around. But I don't remember it ending like it did. I thought the Doc killed himself, I thought Dan was killed and that while trying to save someone Richardson was killed too. My husband says he remembers it that way as well. Could we both have remembered it so wrongly? It has been over ten years, perhaps we've confused it with something else?

Not sure what show you watched but it wasn't Deadwood.

Sounds like a re watch is in order, seems like you did see it but have mistaken a few things, but if you liked it give it another look it's a great show.
