Does this follow the same plot as Chloe?

I was wondering if this pretty much follows it. I know this is the original version so I'm interested in watching it.

What I was wondering if like in the American one, the two female leads end up in a lesbian affair or was that something that was simply added in the American one to give it more spice and a sharper edge into it?
