great twist

obviously, some ppl on this board guessed the twist right from the beginning, but i didn't. and that was good because i found that twist really surprising and cool. you know, at the end when the woman and her husband are sitting in the cafe and "nathalie" walks in, and then the man's like "who's that girl?", my eyes were suddenly opened, that "aaah!"-effect :) i found it pretty cool.

Life's a b!tch and then you die.

i'm not one for spotting twists.

But unfortunatly this is quite easy to spot. We only ever see the husband and nathalie interacting when he lights her cigarette.

What was clever though was the fact that nathalie thinks the wife wants her to have sex with the husband and please him but it is actually really upsetting her rather than turning him on

I didn't see it coming! I'm usually good with twists but I didn't see this one coming at all, but it could've been becaus I was distracted when I saw the movie, but then again, maybe I wouldn't've seen it coming anyway.

So what was the twist? Sorry, I only saw bits and pieces of it. Was the husband actually sleeping with "whats-her-name"? I seemed to think no. Is that right?

reply

You are right... the husband was not having an affair with Nathalie... she made that up to get money.

Nathalie: "...and then he unzipped himself and took out his enormous *beep*"
Catherine: "That's not my husband."
