Unsavory Title

I wonder what the producer, director and writer were thinking when they called this movie Jism...

In UK slang, common useage for decades at least, jism is. well, semen. Sperm. The white stringy sticky stuff made by post pubescent males in moments of extreme excitement...

Seriously, how could they..?

I don't know about the UK, but in parts of Canada and the US 'jism' is indeed slang for semen, so I don't know why whoever posted this is being attacked as 'twisted.' Someone who worked on the movie brought this to the attention of Mahesh Bhatt during pre-production and he told them to leave the title as is because those in the know would be titillated by it.

Dude. I laughed when I heard the title. Heh. Jism.

umm, the OP told you. The whole thread's existence is "about the UK".

"Jism" means body in Hindi. That's probably where the English word comes from... bodily fluid.

The only reason I clicked on this movie is the title.

I don't know what all those deleted comments were, but it sounds like they were dumb.

Yep. Jism is slang for semen. Although it is more commonly shortened to "Jizz", which is used as a noun and a verb whereas jism is exclusively a noun. For example: "I jizzed in my pants.", "I gave that bitch jizz, bitches love jizz." or "There was jism all over the place."

well that was a pretty spunky answer
