How do people argue that she was not possessed?

It was clear that she was possessed by the girl. The girl possessed her in order to kill Doug since he killed her. How and why do people keep coming up with the theory of how she was never possessed and it was all in her mind? The guy in the end even said the Rachel girl's name out loud and the Dr. Dad of Rachel's mentioned the fire thing as well. And mostly it SHOWS her realizing that she did indeed kill her husband, but that she was possessed....

There is no need for any such supernatural interpretation. What would any person do if she realized that she were married to a serial killer, and that one of the victims was going to die if she didn't take action? I think killing the killer is a reasonable action under that extreme circumstance. And then, how would a normal person react to such trauma? I think that insanity is also reasonable. There was no supernatural phenomena involved.

How did she get out of the jail cell then?

"When lightning strikes the sea, why don't all the fish die?"

imdb- I see that you really want people to think she was just going insane because she knew her husband was a bad person. Okay, I could agree with you IF THE MOVIE SHOWED US THAT! But it didnt. It never indicated that Miranda thought her husband was a horrible person. When she was talking to Rachels Dad (the other dr) he said "you think you know someone, i had no idea" and Miranda AGREED..she had no idea!

Miranda bludgeoned her husband to death with a hammer. Obviously she thought he was a prince.

I believe that the glass cells were having an 'electrical fault'...

I died soon afterwards

The ghost kid at the end. Explain that.

All through this movie Miranda has hallucinations about people in trouble. Where does she learn about the kid? From the poster on the pole.
