Worst kiss in cinema history

I'm talking about the one between Miranda and Doug in Doug's office. This may sound wierd, but to me it looks like he's about to bite her head off but then changes his mind and kisses her instead. It certainly made me cringe.

reply

God, I thought the same exact thing. He was going to eat her whole!

reply

I couldnt agree more! It was the grosses kiss ever! I was like ummmm ewwwwww!!!!!!

I know! His mouth was huge compared to hers, lol

You can't change who people are without destroying who they were.....~The Butterfly Effect~

reply

His mouth was huge compared to HER HEAD, yes. I thought his jaw would dislodge and he'd gulp her down with one big swallow. Then the entire movie would be about her trying to navigate through his digestive system.

Some people get the idea of double agent confused with double penetration.

Let's be honest. There is no way on this planet that Charles S. Dutton could snog a woman as beautiful as Halle Berry unless she was forced to do it.

So he probably screwed up that scene as many times as he could to have another go.

What we get in the film is the "best" he could do.

And while we're at a, Robert Downey Jr. should have been made to repeat every line he mumbled throughout this film.

reply

it was awful!! that was the first thing i thought about it hehehe

you must be an angel...

reply

My girlfriend and I watched this movie together tonight and we both noticed how terrible that kiss was. It looked like he was attempting CPR.

reply

shakeandbake07-- i lauged out loud at your comment..."attempting CPR" that is hilarious! And quite accurate!

reply

OMG!! I thought I might've been the only one who thought that!! I always feel sorry for Miranda when he kisses her!! I wonder if that was done on purpose to give you a forshadowing of his ceepiness, or if he just sucks at kissing!!! haha!!

reply

<I wonder if that was done on purpose to give you a forshadowing of his ceepiness, or if he just sucks at kissing!!! haha!! >

That is a GREAT question! It certainly does UP his creepiness doesnt it!!!??

it was supposed to seem like he was engulfing her. he said himself "I AM GOD." he is essentially above and greater than everyone else. hence his size. they didn't cast a extremely tiny woman and a giant man for no reason what so ever. his introduction to the movie showed him in a different light than the rest of the film. his office was that of a man of power...all wood furnishings, sepia tones, pictures of his accomplishments all over the walls. hell the guy takes up nearly the entire screen of any shot he is in.

the kiss was overbearing for a reason. they do not kiss..he kisses her.

he is asserting his power on her as he does with pete when he "circumcised" the cigar before leaving his wife alone with him.

reply

exactly. that was the same idea i was getting. and how he sits at home waiting for her and smoking a cigar.

surely, most husbands don't wait for their wives to eat dinner with them sitting on the couch, puffing on a big cigar.

doug grey was an *beep* before and after we find out he's the villain.

reply

I can't believe how uptight everyone is over this kiss. Like Aquemini421 said, it's most likely foreshadowing. Aside from that it's a horror film. What do you expect,a scene from The Titanic?
To be honest, although I noticed it was a bit creepy also, it didn't even dawn on me at the time that it was a foreshadow.

reply

I do not even remember that part of the film, but overall this film was better than I expected...and generally I do no watch horror films, although this one was sort of a thriller.

Get the restraining order on the spitz now, before he hurts someone.

Yes it was. I heard some hate for it and didn't understand why after watching it.

reply

I absolutely agree! I remember thinking when I saw that, gee, his mouth is open kinda wide, isn't it? Poor Miranda...no wonder she killed him, lol.

reply

Ha ha! You are so right, really disgusting mess of a kiss. It figures that he turned out to be a creep.

Yeah. That was so disgusting and disturbing. It's like he was sucking on her face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes i thought it was an awful kiss too, but then again i would try to get as much Halle Berry as possible in one go as well. :)

reply

I thought the kiss was disturbing as well. It looked like he was about to devour her, which starts to make sense as you watch the movie and discover that he is a man with a disturbing sexual appetite.

On the other end of the spectrum, I watched the music video "Behind Blue Eyes" on the Gothika DVD and found the kiss between Halle Berry and Fred Durst to be surprisingly sensual. Who knew...
