I saw this film on A&E. It was a pretty moving documentary. I really wouldn't compare it to "Fahrenheit 9/11" because "7 Days in September" is about 28 filmmakers who picked up their cameras during the week of September 11, 2001 and filmed all the events and the emotional turmoil happening during the week in New York City. For example there is a scene where people went to a park in New York to write down messages and when a woman writes a negative message, people start to get angry, while others argue that even though it is a harsh remark, it is that person's right to write what they want. Arguments escalate to shouting matches. Also, there are scenes that portray how New York came together and became united, people returning to their homes near the WTC, the threats that followed, and desolation of the city.

I just finished watching it a half hour ago, and I have to say it's worth watching for the Union Square arguement and its conclusion. I could not stop crying...if all human disagreements could come to an honest emotional closing like that...things like September 11th wouldn't not happen.

It also features plenty of footage you've most likely never seen...and different, more human stories than what the mass media shoves down our throats.

And, on that subject, there is nothing but the footage these people shot and their descriptions of that moment in time and what they felt. No jingoism, patriotic pap, or intrusive voice over full of pretentious pseudo-reflection on "that terrible day"...just images and feelings. It was a nice change.

I watch this every so often to remind myself that it really happened, and i was there, I saw it, but yet nearly four years later I still struggle with the reality of 9/11.

This movie is powerful and I cannot help but cry throughout it, its a real film by real people, people who care and whose emotions are so evident in the film. This attack affected New Yorkers no matter who they where.

This film is a touching tribute to the spirit of New Yorkers, I agree the arguement in Union Square is amazing, to see people come together and embrace following a very heated argument was amazing.

I recommend everyone to watch it, unlike a lot of films about 911 this comes from the heart and the soul of the great people who live and work in New York.

God bless New York and the United States.

I saw parts of it about 4 years ago, must've been on A&E and I'm dying to see it again. I'm very surprised it's not shown on TV this time of year, but it surely never is.
