It is rather bothering that lots of begots have tried to defame this movie on the account of sex scenes and references as if the movie's center theme was sex.

It is rather ironic, that they pretend the movie being weird when it naturally represents life's comedic and tragic accidents (it's just unfortunate that a large part of the public is blind to any sort of depth).

I would bet that are the some guys/girls who like Sandra Bullocks movies where "normality" is an extremely weird block of ice with immense underlying psychological problems.

But, To each his/her own.

Personally I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the script and the performance of the entire cast that, evidently, felt committed to the project.

Surely something different from the usual commercial crap from Hollywood.

I'm with you all the way. This film is far from perfect, but I admire and respect the fairly mainstream cast for taking these roles. It is disheartening that violence in films is regarded as "cool," but any venture into taboo territory instantly brings out the would-be prudes who need to show how morally superior they are to the characters while denigrating their privates.

This feels very much like a European film, where issues of human sexuality are addressed both realistically and provocatively. Hollywood could use more movies like this, but the risks probably appear to great to the filmmakers, if this board is any indication.

I agree completely. Cookie cutter movies are almost always a bore but this one kept you guessing and wondering all the way through.

And I really liked that you quoted the line about morality from the movie. Sums up a lot of people on here very well.

Very biblical of you to notice that.

There are seldom any conceptions in these Hollywood films about extramarital sex, therefore no begots.
