This film is based on the first third of John Irving's novel "A Widow for One Year". Typically, I would opt to read the book before I watch the film but considering it's only based on part of the book I'm hesitant. Has anyone read the book and seen the movie? Any opinions on which to do first?
shareSince you are up to doing both, I'd suggest to maybe watch the movie first and then read the book. "A Widow for One Year" really does go off in all sorts of directions, and I think it's a bit bothersome to know all the things that happened before hand and not see them on film.
