I was wondering in the book what ever happened to the wife did she return did she remarry again and have more kids. Also what happened to Ruth and the husband. Did he also remarry and what of he and his daughters relationship.

I recall Marion meeting Ruth and/or Eddie in the book. It wasn't much of a meeting. Nothing ever happened to her. She just "existed" mourning her lost sons.
