Where's the confusion? *possible spoiler*

The fact that there are so many threads stating "OMG, I can't believe they showed vaginas!!!" goes to show that many of the posters on this board completely missed the point of this film.

It isn't porn. It isn't even a plot per se. It is a visual deconstruction of the female anatomy and sexual process. Playing with uncomfortable subjects such as female-orgasm/masturbation/menustration/full frontal nudity/and of course, the vagina. All of which are aspects of normal, healthy life.

If this film made you squeamish. Good. That was the intent. It is a film that aims to expose the misconceptions men have about the female body and the power struggle that is heterosexuality.

Whether it was a representation of the physical norms of a woman, it more so exposes the irrational emotional thinking and inane mentality of women who project their own self hatred onto the opposite gender. Don't get me wrong, the men weren't painted in a brilliant light either, but ironically this film only strengthens the feelings that a misogynistic, straight or gay by choice, would have. After all, once the man in the movie feels drawn to her in a passionate way, she kills herself, only *beep* up his life now because her's was *beep* from the get go.

PS. When I said 'gay by choice' I was merely describing the character because he doesn't seem to be with men from attraction.
