The point behind this is aged, stereotypical, and totally false.

It sort of adds to the misandry of today's society, in my opinion. Women hate and degrade the male form and sexuality much more often in Western societies than women, whose bodies might as well be worshipped along with Jesus Christ [symbolism in the film?] And not only are females disgusted by the male body and sexuality, males are. They are afraid of their own bodies and other men, and always feel the need to express this fear, especially in porn. I have seen many straight males commenting about the homosexuality in this film and how they only want to see women, not male anything. It is the male form which has yet to be understood, by society, by women, and by men. Rarely do you see an uncensored penis in cinema, and it is often considered porn, erect or not. [All erections seem to be immediately dubbed as porn.]

It is often women who band together, not men, and push out the males from their little group. There are so many Hollywood movies where women do this, and degrade and insult men as a whole, yet no one dares to comment on that? And here you get a whole film dedicated to the so-called male fear of the female body and sexuality. I have yet to see any films fighting misandry, and what's a real kicker is that a lot of these anti-"misogyny" films are misandrist.

I am so happy that someone else sees this as well! Modern feminism has degraded what feminism used to stand for, and as they say, history repeats itself; now it's the male on the receiving end. Hopefully it'll come full circle. I just can't believe that it's still so mainstream, although most normal women are smart enough to realize being called a feminist nowadays is like an insult. Hope it dies off soon, but I doubt it.

I think you could see it as either misandry or misogyny. There is definitely the woman's self-loathing. But she also treats the man as a pig and says nasty things about him.

Also how do we know The Man is gay? We never see him with a man.

While I agree there is great fear and shame associated with the penis in its public form, I think the film does have some merit in addressing the private disgust with certain elements of femininity.

But I understand where you're coming from.

You're right about the self loathing of the woman in the film. She seems to take misogynistic attitudes to heart but the point where she believes it herself but projects it onto the man in a passive aggressive way. She seems to somewhat understand why women are looked at that way, but wants the four days with the man to truly see it in person with her experiments.

Oh,please--I am tired of people who don't even understand what feminism is about and how it's changed society for the better, as well as relations bwt men and women. I'm a feminist, and that is only an insult to ignorant people like yourself who don't even understand what it is. All feminism is, is the belief that women should have rights equal to men's. Now what's so hard to understand about that? I think some men clearly have a problem with it because it challenges men on their entitled sexism, and makes them question what being a man in this society is all about. Seriously, get over yourself about that.

This is indeed what feminism should stand for, however I know some feminists disagree with that statement. A lot of them claim to believe in gender equality, but their actions contradict these claims.

Then why don't men have the same rights as women when it comes to children or divorce or acres to the same help when it comes to domestic violence or health care.
Why are men always the idiot and victims of violence for comedic or to teach him a lesson in media?

Why did I have to listen to two of my female work colleagues go on yet another feminist rant about how the world world be better if all men were killed as men have no uses but when I point out that a man doesn't need a woman like a woman doesn't need a man all the excuses why women don't need men suddenly don't apply to men and their fragile female ego comes out as they desperately try to convince me (themselves) that men need women because we can't even make beds.

why is it every single time there's talk about mens rights just even being looked at in the legal to bring it closer to what women have these so called champions of equality who are fighting so women have the same rights as men complain and in cases block these changes from taking place.

Know what the first feminist were fighting for?
Women to have the right to vote not women and men.
When the prime minister sarod he wanted that but not before the men who were dying overseas so these women could be safe (and use the war to further their cause not help fight the war) they bombed his car.

Feminism from the very start had always been about female superiority not equality and history through their words and actions process this.
Feminism is histories largest organist hate group. Largest sexist organisation.

I say give women mens rights then give men women's rights and watch how the women will complain then.
With the shoe on the other foot you'll quickly want things to go back to how they were. Sadly them you'll just continue on your campaign of taking from men whilst simultaneously trying to have everything your way regardless of how it actually impacts you.

On the positive side it looks like men are finally standing up for themselves albeit very very slowly so when we look back on this time period future generations will see the evil feminism for what it is and talk about how misandristic all forms of society was just like how feminist do the same when revising history to suit their prejudice and insecurity
