How some people can be so cruel to animals is totally disgusting and totally unforgiveable. You have a cat, dog, horse, etc that relies on you for food, love, protection, well being, and you beat it or torture it. I can't believe how incredibly cruel and inhumane some people can be. I have two cats that are my friends, and I am their friend. I can not even begin to think of hurting one of these cats. I wonder if it is some sort of power trip for people to hurt their animals. I just don't understand...

Very low indeed. Another thing that really gets me is that most of these people, when caught, are charged with misdemeanors. So basically, torture and absolute cruelty to animals is a slap on the wrist according to most jurisdictions. You get caught with two joints (not speaking from experience as I don't smoke it) and you go to jail for a good amount of time. Doesn't make sense to me.

I can't believe people. I mean, how could anyone burn or starve an animal?

And on top of all that horror, the people look SHOCKED that they are getting arrested and/or having their animals taken away!

Yeah, you see people beating and/or starving their pets and they don't even show any remorse at all. And they end up with a fine or a year in jail. Gee, if that had been a KID that guy had beaten like that, do you think he would get a fine or a year in jail?

NO, it's not. Animals can't defend themselves, and are more abused than anything else. If they feel the need to take anger out on something, they should take it out on themselves. I love hearing stories where animals get their revenge. Like the goat that got beaten often and then one day rammed the man who had done it.

There is no excuse for animal cruelty. There needs to be stronger penalties for all abusers out there as they are now proving that animal abuse of all kind eventually leads to more heinous crimes against humans. People who do this have no moral value to any type of living creature whether it be animal or fellow human. Very disgraceful.

seriously, i would rather have someone beat their pet then their children... but all these pet owner freaks care little for humans (more then likely because humans have rejected them a la the crazy laday with 12 cats...), and instead elevate common animals above humans...

sad if you ask me.
