sex scenes

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I am going to rent it when it comes out on DVD in the US tomorrow. I was curious to know how explicit the sex scene(s) are, just to prepare myself, lol.

That's ok, lol. No matter how bad they may be, I still want to rent it. I just want to make sure I'm not watching it with parents or a little sister when something goes down :)

Thank you very much. I rented the movie yesterday and watched it; I also found the scenes to be a little more explicit than what I thought. I'm one of those people who looks for a "deeper meaning" in movies, so it didn't bother me that much, but I wouldn't want to watch it with my little sister or parents either.
All in all, I have to say I was disappointed with the movie, it wasn't what I thought it was going to be. The way it took such a twist when Stella became so close to Peter, then killed herself while Edgar went crazier still, made me a little depressed. I knew the movie was going to be dark, just not such a downer. Thanks for your input!

Guys what movies have you been watching. Explicit sex scenes - come on. These were some of the most restrained I have ever seen. Have you seen Damage, Basic Instinct, Sliver, to name but a few main stream films with Explicit Sex scenes. How about 9 songs. The scenes were full of lust and passion but were no where near softcore standard. It makes me wonder how old some of you are?!

I haven't seen any of the movies you listed, but I know what you mean. I saw Original Sin, and that was pretty explicit. I would love to see 9 Songs, I've heard good things about it. Not to mention Franz Ferdinand is in it, and I love them to death. Can you even find that movie in the US?
By the way, I'm 18

This is to admonish ScottishSexAppeal for the Jan. 20 post with no Spoiler Alert. I was only part way through the film when he/she revealed what happens with Stella. Thanks a bunch!

Yeah, I haven't even gotten it yet and you've already ruined it for me. Thanks for being such a lunkhead, ScottishSexAppeal.

The sex scenes were in keeping with the descriptions in the book, which I reccomend that everyone read as some things were left out of the movie.

Highly emotionally charged.

It smelled of sardine, but reminded me of a destroyed Picasso print. I luv dripping panty matter.

Anything involving Marton Csokas is alright with me! He is one hot sexy man!
I didn't find anything offensive about sex between two consenting adults who were cleary in mad lust with each other.

reply

Even if they use plumbing tools its alright!

oh my god, when he goes down on her - oh how I wish it was me - That was HOTTTT!

Totally agree that the sex scenes were not at all explicit....

Take a look at 'Monsters Ball'......BLOODY HELL!!.....NOW THEY ARE EXPLICIT..

...and hot as hell I might add.

reply

I agree on that one. The main reason anyone watches this movie is for the sex scenes, which were intense and well done. Natasha Richardson said they made her cry in her trailer during the filming. Maybe because she was tense or embarrassed at the time. She'd done sex scenes before, but I don't think anything compared to those.

reply

Fairly explicit. Natasha Richardson gets licked out in one of the scenes. Man i would *beep* her into the high heavens.

reply

I would be more worried of letting my little sister watch the violence than the sex! the part where stella's son drowns, where she commits suicide and where edgar beats her! that was WAY more disturbing than it would be to watch them having sex if my parents were there. sex is a natural part of life, violence shouldn't be.

reply

I like the idea of you "preparing yourself for sex scenes." That is really just a fancy way of saying, "I turned off the lights, locked my cat in the closet, poured myself a glass of champagne, grabbed the coconut oil, put 'daddy's sex towel' on the couch, took down my pants, and thoroughly lubed my squirt pickle."

reply

While that's funny, the OP is a young woman (19 when she first posted). So...no pickle. :)
