I liked most the Lex Luthor parts...
... He was the only one with a plot/plan.share
I loved Kevin Spacey's Lex. He was dark, mysterious and had just enough humor without being too ridiculous like Gene Hackman's Lex (though he was fine too). If I had to make one complaint, I am sorry they decided to keep his petty criminal/take over the world scheme instead of remodeling him into the business tycoon/president style villain they had been making him over the last few years. They gave him some of that with the white suit, and again, more serious persona but they could have done more to make him a more interesting villain. That said, what he did give to the part was great and he's probably my favorite Lex Luthors.share
I think Luthor was deep inside a vicious street criminal in this movie despite of all his intelligence and wealth. You can see it in the scene where he "finished" Superman by stabbing him in the back with a knife made out of cryptonite... very powerful moment.share
Very powerful scene. some don't like it but I really got Luthor's anger and a sense of 'years of waiting for that moment' from him.share
