He's not portraying this Superman. He's going to be the one from the Kingdom Come storylines.

Interesting.

i just heard he is going to be in The Flash movie, too (along with Keaton, and possibly even Kilmer and Clooney!)

That's so cool. Routh was a great Superman, even if Superman Returns fell short of its potential (although I think it was pretty underrated, and I definitely prefer it to Man of Steel)

RIP Lois, Jimmy, Perry

Wow! That is the exact same Daily Planet/metropolis from SR! This is sooo weird feels like a long belated sequel to SR lol (similar to how SR was a long belated sequel to Superman II) damn I didn't think it would be but this is kind of a big f'kin deal! I was SO obsessed with SR back from when it was announced in 04.. the fact this is like the sequel/Superman Returns '2' (Superman: Man of Steel) we never got is kind of wow.. like here I am nonchalantly watching the sequel to SR on utube!! And I wasn't even that bothered about clicking on it or about Crisis (never got into this whole Arrowverse/Flash/Supergirl/Legends TV stuff) just figured Routh would just be a cameo or something.. Its kind of crazy! I need a moment to collect my thoughts here!

Theres abit of an end of MoS battle aesthetic meets Superman II metropolis battle (Lois watching from window with Lex orchestrating) meets Superman III junkyard thing going on here.. and it looks pretty impressive despite this being TV (FX pretty much up to the standard of SR in 06 or even MoS)

Superman III is now canon in the SR-verse? I guess the SR only takes into account I/II and disregards III/IV thing is no longer.. then again if theres a multiverse then the SR universe could easily be a different universe to the Christopher Reeve universe. Just very similar. I mean it never really made sense that Supermen I-IV was set in 70s/80s yet SR was set in 2006 lol (which means maybe they could show Reeve via CG in COIE?)

Think i'll have to buy this COIE on blu and stick it in my SR set as an official sequel!

Jason ref!

Ep 3 shown last night, then 4/5 not until January.. I've a feeling they'll be saving the big name female superheroes for the final 2 eps to help save the day (Lynda Carter, Helen Slater) and maybe it'll all end in an Endgame style way (all heroes on screen together)

Crisis on Infinite Earths Redeems Brandon Routh's Superman

Crisis on Infinite Earths gives Brandon Routh the chance to play Superman his way, distinct from the iconic Christopher Reeve version.

no Helen Slater or Lynda Carter cameos which is kind of strange. Or Dean Cain/Hatcher. or George Reeves or Christopher Reeve (but I guess that was meant to be Routh). Also remember a Nicolas Cage/Superman rumour but no happen either. But there was the movie Flash cameo
