I just saw this last night on Sci Fi. I was pleased with it, for what it was. It was very predictable, but these days, almost every movie is.
I was very dissapointed in SIGNS, with Mel Gibson. Such a build up there and then a mediocre movie.

I totally agree. I really didn't like SIGNS myself, but I totally enjoyed this one. I get every single movie A.J. Buckley has been in, as I think he's a terrific actor, so I wasn't too disappointed with this film.
A.J. makes it all worth while, as far as I'm concerned.
A.J. has one "acting move": shake hands. :DDDDDD
Just see this movie again and watch him shaking his hands over and over again when he speaks.
I think Billy stole this movie.
And watch the first scene with Billy. Some shaving crap is on his face but the next cut it's missing. :-)
This movie was pretty solid based upon a reasonably low expectation. Billy Zane always brings something to the table but to say it was a better made movie then Signs is a stretch. Personally, you may not have liked it Signs but it had superior acting, directing, special effects, etc. Signs suffers from a much higher expectation but if you compare them side by side then there's no contest.
sharei thought it was good. It wasnt better than Signs because that movie rules but it was worth seeing. The only thing i didnt like was that the aliens kind of looked a little fake. They could have looked a little better. They showed a lot of them though that was pretty cool. I would say 7.5 out of 10. I would buy it if i saw it. I thought it was going to suck but it didnt suck at all. It is not better than SIGNS! I don't care what anyone says.
