Yes, a blatant rip-off as well. I lost count of how many actual shots, settings and jump-moments the director shamelessly stole from Signs.

Not just Signs, but Dog Soldiers too. Compare the endings between Silent Warnings and Dog Soldiers. The house even blows up the same way in the same circumstances!
