Gathered 'bell bottoms' featured in the movie?

I am somewhat decent with my Pakistani and Indian clothing terms, but I have only seen these pants once before, in a shop years ago, and sadly, I missed the chance to buy them. Finally once again I have seen them! They were worn all the time by Puro in this movie.

They are basically a normal pant, but at the knee, they bell out through the use of gathers, attatching a second piece of fabric at the knee, and the bells look much like a skirt. They give a wonderful flowing movement while walking. They differ from the more American bell bottoms, since those are usually cut out of one piece, or have gussets and panels sewn into the main piece....not these "skirts" that are right above the knee.

The store I saw them at only had them listed as "bell bottoms" but they were distinctly this gathered at the knee style of pant, imported from India or Pakistan...do they have a specific name? So that I can better search on the internet for them?

Thanks!!

Hmm, perhaps you can ask this question in the 'Indian cinema' board. I think you're more likely to find an answer there.
