Who is Ram's Mother?
Why do they refer to Lakshman's mum as Ram's mum? Lakshman and Ram share the same Father but Ram was born to another woman in an illegitamate affair. So why does he say things like "This time, mum will accept me?"

Because to Ram, his father's wife, whether it is his biological mother or not, is like a mother to him. That's why he calls her mum.
