Main Hoon Na has to be one of the worst films i have ever seen. i was sat in the cinema and i fell asleep....wat a typical story! and wat the hell is farah khan (who cant speak a lick of english properly) thinkin by callin the main 3 characters ram, laxman and ragahavan? am sure thats just a lil too convientent wen u mention the ramayan! thats one ting that vexed me up!

And that zayed khan lad shud b shot for sum of the crappest acting i've ever seen and shah rukh seemed his shaky self (by the way can this guy not act any other way? dont know how people call him a great actor wen he can only act as this romantic mommas boy! Amitabh Bachchan is a true great actor, jus look at Black, need i say anymore!?!?!)

Such a dull and typical story....i was guessing and guessing correctly what wud happen b4 every scene...the only positives i can raise are sushmita sen and amrita rao looked fit!!!

Hi Kaushal, you would surely be regretting to actually go, spend money and watch this movie in a hall!!! The onlything you may not regret was to sleep.

I saw this drivel for half an hour on TV last weekend. Then i realised that there are enough people in this world who will consider saliva spewing as some kind of comedy and some monkey like gymnastics as some action. The Matrix like sequence shows a total lack of class. And why were college students always jumping around like a bunch of monkeys!

If you people hate Main Hoon Naa, then it is better for you to go and see chinese movies instead of bollywood movies.

ITS THE BIGGEST TRASH I HAVE EVER SEEN. I WASTED MY TIME ON THIS..**UK THIS MOVE, AND **UK SHAHRUKH KHAN, HE IS SUCH AN IMBECILE. PLAYING JUST ONE ROLE - CRYING CRYINGCRYING CRYING... HE CAN'T DO ANY BETTER.

AAMIR KHAN IS ONE OF THE GREATEST ACTORS. LOOK AT HIS VERSATILITY AND THE WAY HE PLAYS HIS ROLES. . HE IS JUST TOO GREAT.

SHAHRUKH KHAN SHOULD RESIGN. HE GETS ALL THESE AWARDS, BECAUSE HE BRIBED THE FILMFARE ACADEMY. HE'S A CHEAT. NO WONDER HE GETS AN AWARD EVERY YEAR. THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE IS A GREAT ACTOR. HE IS FULL *HIT, I HAVEN'T SEEN ONE MOVIE OF SHAHRUKH KHAN WHICH MADE ME THINK ''OH THIS GUY IS A GREAT PERFORMER'.

AAMIR KHAN. WELL HE IS IN THE LEAGUE OF ACTORS SUCH AS SEAN PENN, NICOLAS CAGE, AL PACINO, ROBERT DE NIRO, AND EDWARD NORTON.

how come it got so many nominations?? thank god it didn't win much!
I mean.. the plot and all clashes!

on one side, these army wants to have peaceful contract with pakistan. on teh other hand, srk praises the life of beign an army.it's okay to praise a life of army.. like defending th country.. but 'guns, tanks..'?????
are guns and tanks pride of beign an army?? to hell with him!

then the second thing which irritated me most is; why the hell did kiron kher has to get angry with srk? it wasn't his fault if he was born.
the husband made a mistake. okay. she can't stand it.. but "returning back only if the dad chooses them and kick the bastard child away???" this is sooo unfair. she's a mother. she should have understood what it is like to be leaving a kid alone. so selfish!

and why did srk have to apologise? it should be kiron kher to apologize for telling her husband to 'kick the child out otherwise i wont come home'.

then the screening.. copied from matrix but failed badly. when srk is shot by the terrorist(the one who becomes good at the end), srk flies like a feather.. made me laugh!

the songs were good, fortunately. but gori gori sucked.

You know what I don't understand? People who say that SRK is a trash actor and THEN go watch his movies...I'm sorry, that just doesn't make sense to me. i mean I can't stand Jack Nicholson's acting, and I would never watch a movie with him in it, I don't care how good people say it is coz I know I'll find fault with it only because Jack Nicholson is in it.

You hate SRK, DON'T WATCH HIS MOVIES!! it's as simple as that! I mean everyone says that he uses the same style of acting in all his movies, if you know that, then why waste your money on a ticket to see his movies, you obviously know how he's going to be, why torture yourselves? And why do people get personal when they express their opinion? Yes you all have the right to your opinion about the movie, but what's Farah Khan's english got to do with it?

I love reading people's reviews on movies, that's how I know which ones to pick sometimes, but what does the fact that she named her charecters certain names and that she can't speak english properly got to do with the movie? Why can't you just say "The movie was crap for so-and-so reasons" and end it there? Is there a need to launch a personal attack on the personal habits (known and unknown) of the actor? The movie is about the charecters...trash the charecters and the movie by all means, but I'm really not interested in how Farah Khan speaks english, as long as she keeps me entertained.

You do know that SRK wasn't the only cast member in that movie, right? Personally, I saw it for Sushmita Sen...

You know what's wrong with you SRK fans? You guys consider him the sole significant cast member from each and every movie, like no one else even exists...it's either him or nothing...no matter the plot or direction.

Although, the comment on Farah Khan's english speaking skill was bit unnecessary, i agree.

Farah Khan clearly told evryone that she is going to put elements of the Indian films she grew up watching... including names, comedy, action which made it look like a typical Bollywood masala film. Get a grip.... if you didn't like it, don't start a whole thread on it!!! Keep the hatred to yourself coz there may be 70% who hate this movie but there are 30 who love it.
IT WAS AN AMAZING MOVIE...according to me.

i do not watch his movies. howver, sometimes they are just forced on me. Like DTPH and mohabattein were shown on the bus i was travelling. i saw just half an hour of MHN to TV, wanting to check out what biggest hit in 2004 was all aboout. it oerfectly matched my expectations of being a trash and i changed to something better.......Anyway, As advised by you, i have not wasted any money on his tickets. It is for NRIs, girls, guys having to accompany them and guys going to ogle at them!

I think the reason is that some people (like me) still think that he's a good actor even though he's made some crap movies. We remember the days of Darr, Baazigar, DDLJ, etc when he was a little more experimental. His most recent attempts at not playing "SRK as Raj Malhotra" have not been great but we continue to see his movies, hoping that maybe he will deliver the goods.

yeah i agree... this is one of the worst movie ever!!! only sushmita sen was better thing in this movie... but the movie is all in all rubbish...n SRK?? i think he should stop making similar movie in which he is popular among ppl... he is such a big loser wanna b goody goody all the time *beep* HIM!

YOu're right. it is the 'family audences', i.e. the oldies and kids who fancy such movies ( even though i wonder how many actually liked Saliva Spewing prof character). guys who prefer action flicks or maybe something like 'DCH' would despise such movies. Not all Shahrukh Khan's movies are hateable though. i liked 'Swades'

Swades was great, but not because of SRK (imo), but because of awesome plot and direction.

Once in a while comes a movie that is too smart for its own good - then the average Indian (or NRI) audience just doesn't get it!! That is also often a problem with sarcasm - people take it seriously.

I find that Main Hoon Naa is the least appreciated SRK gem out there. People just do not get the very subtle sarcasm and spoofiness of the film. Plus, the fact that SRK is actually making fun of himself (arms raised, uncontrollable, singing every time he sees Sush), of some of his biggest blockbusters (K2H2 - when they are teaching him to dance), K3G (when the Zayed character enters the library for the first time), just makes the movie very endearing to me. Throw in the over the top John Woo, Matrix, Sholay, Jackie Chan spoofs and it is just a great movie. Some people ACTUALLY think MHN is a true action flick and say "but SRK cannot do action - see him in Main Hoon Naa"!!

It also has some of the longest shots in Hindi cinema - in the song Chale Jaise Hawaaein there in one long shot with Amrita's half and one long shot with Zayed's half of the song. This is the most "authentic" dance sequence I have seen because it is not made up of perfect pieces that are stitched together on the editing floor.

You should watch Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa and Yes Boss - they are old but excellent SRK films, very down to earth and heart warming. And Swades had no real plot - he saw the state of the people in the villages, they built a dam - simplistic at best. Direction was awesome, but what might be hard for you guys to admit is that SRK was the reason the movie was so magnificent.

Main Hoon Na is a good film..the best thing about this movie is the action sequences...

Shahrukh is a very good actor but he didn't act that well in this movie..suniel shetty was brilliant in his performance..overall, a good movie

I'll rate this movie 6.5/10

mmm, im a srk fan too, and i think most of his movies are reali nice, and are the reasons why im so into bollywood now thou im not an indian. but for this film, i reali dun find it all that endearing. and i think it got to be the fact that, it's too 'one-man show', thou that man happens to be srk, it still makes the movie reali typical and unrealistic. and the action scenes are all slow motioned, very boring at times.

It is a bit late to remember, whether RI or NRI audience liked it but MHN collected a lot of money so, many people liked it. i am not among them.

i for one do not see any sarcasm or subtle humour in some one constantly spewing saliva (satish shah - a brilliant actor otherswise) Action sequences - watched only one, which is a cheap copy of matrix. would rather see Mithun da in his martial Arts.

Earlier movies - 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi na' was a slighly off beat movie, in fact Naseer looked more like starring in the movie than SRK himself, "yes Boss' - not a cnadyfloss but still had SRK showing of the same mannerisms (The girls in my office loved the movie - hence i did not see it!) One earlier movie i liked was 'Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman'

Swades - A real classic and one of the 3 movies which are considered as landmark meaningful and inspirational this decade (RDB and LRMB being the other 2) . i was avoiding this movie because SRK was there in it i watched it only because some friends bought tickets for me too. Now SRK gives a restrained performance which has not been there in any of his recent films. Many fans of other mSRK movies were disappointed with this (one guy posted a thread in swades but later deleted it http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0367110/board/thread/14086080?d=14331434#14331434)

And those who normally abhor SRK movies liked it. i heard comments from my friends like 'First movie where SRK has not overacted', 'Govarikar must be great to restrain this guy', etc.

Haha. This movie was one big party. What's there not to like? It was in the name of good fun, which was awesome! =)
