Not a fitting tribute to the soldiers who fought at Kargil

The Kargil War of 1999 was one of the toughest campaigns in the huistory of warfare. The Indian Army's soldiers went up and took seemingly impregnable positions up extremely steep slopes on razor back ridges. Their valour was tremendous, their professionalism and devotion to duty stupendous.

This movie does not do their valour, patriotism and sacrifices justice.

How can it be expected to do justice when there's a lenght limit and one has to edit scenes to make sure that the length of the filme is met? I have read a lot of articles by the survivors of this conflict and many of them were pleased to see the movie as it was made and they have approved it. This is, I think, the best way to pay a tribute to the soldiers who fought in this conflict.

Honestly, as a Malaysian, and a neutral observer, these stories must be told. There are various ways of telling it. Of course the general public would hate something like "The World at War"(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071075/).

All in all, we need more of these types of movies, tackling the human side of wars. We also need someone in India to come up with a documentary on this war, although I suspect the Pakistani POV will be propaganda and jihad and stuff (sorry).

You know! I agree with you! We need more of such movies. recently, I was in India and by accident I met someone whose brother was involved in the Kargil conflict and they introduced me to some more survivors of the conflict and they told me that when they saw the movie "LOC" Kargil, they were taken back in time and were so pleased that this had been made into a film
