the ending...

does anyone else just wish she had upped and left with cahit, i know she had changed/had responsibility's and a kid etc , but i so wished she had turned up right at the last minute on her own.
after the majority of the film with them wanting each other and gradually falling in love etc then just springing a kid and husband on sibel and her not turning up, was a bit like "o right, great" seems like unhappy endings are the new happy endings. i know this is a very simplistic view and obviously i understand the meaning for her staying but still, really irritated me

Good question but my answer is: absolutely not.

While it would have been somewhat romantic and an act of self-gratification for Sibel to sneak off with her husband, it would have harmed her daughter and her boyfriend who evidently saved her life in more ways than one. She did the selfless thing and remained on the path that was stable.

I wish she did leave, I feel like her an Cahit were sort of on the same level both had matured. I sad to watch him ride the bus alone in the end.

This movie ended the only way it could have. Another ending would have ruined the story.
