Ending?

I think I saw this film, but I can't be sure as it was in Chinese and not subtitled. Is there a scene where the misfit girl hides in the fridge?
And does the ending involve a necklace and balloons (I'll say no more).

If so, then this was a very entertaining film, which managed to convey its message across languages, and stuck in my memory for a few years!
