the sheriff?

What was his problem? Was he racist and didn't like Jack hanging out with Naomi? Or was he extremely opposed to vistors in town? His behavior was completely uncalled for and I can't figure out why he would act in such a way. Jack parks on the street for over 3 hours and his car gets towed. Ok, I get that if he has a problem with Jack to begin with, but then he arrests him and throws him in jail? I don't get it. Jack didn't do a thing. Yet he went along with it and didn't punch the guy in the face, something he had coming. What was the point of this subplot?

I wondered that too-the guy was such a jerk! Probably he thought Jack was interested in Cindy. Didn't Jack take off his wedding band the first time he saw Cindy or was I imagining that? Actually, if he did, it was totally out of character and didn't make a lot of sense with the plot-so go figure-but no wonder JJ was throwing his weight around a little too much.

i was the bad guy..... get it? In faith based films, the bad guy just has a bad attitude. LOL One of the best experiences of my career. What a great bunch of folks to work with. I hope my change of attitude in the Christmas celebration at the end redeemed him a little.... even "jerks" can change....when they practice a little faith.

He did take off the ring but oddly enough he didn't try to hide it or anything. He was just playing with it on the counter.

Still got my fingers crossed, waiting for Judas Contract to get green-lit

I don't think Jack or the Sheriff ate their breakfasts either.?

Can you fly this plane?
Surely you can't be serious.
I am serious, and don't call me Shirley

What his problem was is that he'd seen Jack as competition for his girl. He had seen the way Jack was flirting with Cindy and how friendly Cindy was towards Jack. (All they were were friendly little gestures, which he later finds out) He didn't like the interaction going on between them. He also seemed to dislike strangers in his little town. The Sheriff was a pure jerk if you ask me.
