Radio announcer?

I just recently watched the movie, "Christmas Child." The voice of the
radio announcer sounded familiar. I couldn't figure out who it was by
viewing the credits. It sounded like Tom Lester (Eb Dawson from Green
Acres fame). I read in the IMDb bio that he was a Christian who is
active in ministry. Was this a ministry he made or is the voice someone
else?

reply

I thought it sounded like David Hart- Parker Williams of IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT fame...

reply

I came to IMDb because I thought it was Tom Lester, too. Sounds just like him! I wonder why the credits don't list who did the voice?

reply

The announcer's script was amusing. Reminded me of Tuna Christmas. But speaking of inadequate credits, the judge got no respect. Looking like John Wayne's brother and having a cartoon-like statuette of JW in his office bookshelf might be a hint, but isn't this site supposed to take care of all our "wonderings?"

reply

Don't know about the radio announcer, but as to the Judge, his name was omitted from the credits on this site and on the DVD. And these ostensibly religious film producers have failed to pay residuals, a legal reponsibility. The Judge's name? Dennis Letts. Sincerely, Dennis Letts

Are you the husband of my favorite author, Billie Letts? I read that on the imdb....I love Billie Letts. From the imdb, you have a very impressive acting career. My mom went to college in Durante, OK and was born and raised in Caddo, OK.

He is the husband of Billie Letts-have a look at his IMDB profile...

Yes, the voice of the radio anouncer was that of Tom Lester.

Interesting. The voice sounded to me like the radio announcer on "Hee-Haw." I did not know Tom Lester could sound so good on the radio.
