Why Did James assume that Bone would fight for the $5 Million?

It seemed that James was defeated by Bone and his team before the big fight for the $5 Million took place. So, why did James think that Bone would fight? For the money? I'm not clear on that one. Thank you.

I am also wondering what made James so sure Bone would win. He was certain of that when Bone beat Hammerman but Price ALSO would have easily beaten Hammerman, McVeigh even said Hammerman was not even in Price's league.

And what made him think he could win that sword fight? He did not get that Bone was the Baddest man on the planet (if PRIME Mike Tyson existed in this story Bone would beat him easily if it was a street fight and not boxing, he was that well rounded a martial artist)

Earlier in the film Bone pretended to not know anything about weapons fighting. So James thought that he could defeat Bone with a weapon even if he was a badass fighter without them.

"I am also wondering what made James so sure Bone would win"

james said "I've never seen anything like that in my life" after bone defeated hammer. james also said to mcveigh, "I have a new guy, best i've seen. and i've seen price"

That's really all i can think of as to why he thought bone would win.
