Unfortunately, like so many other productions, this one is pretty much dead. I'd like to get my hands on a copy if possible for my daughter. It's a shame it wasn't released on DVD. Although it was not a commercial success, it was a great experience and it would be wonderful to have something to remind us of this great moment in time.
shareTalk about speaking too soon. A few days after I posted that, we got word that there is a limited release here in Phoenix. So all you fans that were able to watch the production or one of the lucky few to be an extra -- just like Santa, it's coiming to town!
Naturally I'd still like to get my hands on a DVD copy -- need a token from a wonderful moment in my daughter's life! Come on out and support this film -- I have heard that they really tweeked it to perfection! How cool is that????

shareIt was filmed in Prescott Az and thats where I live. I had no idea that they were filming it here. One of my friends was in it. He was the little chienese kid. It was on ok movie and I would like to see it again.
shareActually if you read the credits they used Saguaro Ranch in Mesa, Arizona, and much of the music was recorded in Tempe Arizona, although the scenic stuff was Prescott.
I rented this at Hollywood vidoe , mainly to see what has been done movie wise in AZ.
I see that Brett Blair sang the song for real.

It is always a fun treat seeing movies that were filmed in Arizona. We were just out by Saguaro Lake Ranch this past weekend. The little resort is still locked in time and charming as ever. Arizona Summer is airing on ShowTime and listed in movies on ShowTime Demand this month. Izenuff, I am listing links for Arizona films and info - seeing Arizona Summer increased my interest in Arizona films, too.

it was taped in Mesa? i stayed at a hotel in Mesa when I was in Arizona last year...i think i remember passing by the Saguaro Ranch.....the name sounds familiar....Arizona is a beautiful state....i look forward to going back!
