Sure. Preity, Rani (both of whom I like), Kareena (who I don't), and the rest have all been hugely successful without SRK, Aamir Khan, CHopras or Johars. Not. I think someone needs a reality check. Indian cinema is way too male-orientated for any fgemale dominated film to do well. Its a very sad fact. Kareena is still waiting to have a solo hit. You would think she might have done so after 5 years!
As far as Ash going to Hollywood, sure, its all rumours, conspiracy theories. She didn't actually do Bride and Prejudice, isn't doing Mistress of Spices, Provoked, the Last Legion (with Ben Kingsley), Chaos (with Meryl Streep) or SIngularity (with Brendan Fraser). She didn't turn down the 007 role. It's all a big conspiracy, and people are willing to waste thousands and millions of dollars to try to make YOU believe she is going to Hollywood. But you sure are smarter than that.
People are all wrong. I mean Ash can't act. You said so yourself, oh mighty lord of the universe. they are all wrong, and you are right.
And you know exactly why millions of people went to see films with her in it don't you? I mean you read everyone's mind and time after time came up with the same answer, that it was in the hope that she would wear something sexy.
(moving out of sarcastic mode for a second) If you actually think any Indian film awards are transparent, honest, reward the best, and deserve to be taken seriously, you are sadly mistaken.
So in conclusion, I would say you need to come out of your distorted reality and back into the real world.
At this point, I would like to apologise for the cynicism in my post. I'm normally more diplomatic, and nicer, but I am rather grouchy right now and this is sort of out of character for me. Oh well, I'm too lazy to go back and change it.
