shareWell its not exactly as the comics nor the animated movies, but still very enjoyable.
Its just sad with the DVD releases of the movie and the episodes, that they did not put some work in to displaying all of them, movie plus episodes, in the same aspect ratio.
They switch between 16:9 and 4:3 Letterbox on the discs.
there is an odd mix of dubbing in these italian productions, you can't quite grasp which is dubbed and who are really speaking english, and they use the same cast as in other movies, this for examples has several recognisable players as in the 1994 terence hill & bud spencer movie "the troublemakers", it also has some of that same beautiful scenery as that movie, but it doesn't quite reach the same quality and you can feel this is made for tv in compare, it feels more goofy, and something it don't have is bud, i'm sorry but this just made me want to check out the troublemakers and hear bud hurl funny bitter insults at hill. except for carey, extraordinary this also has mel brooks' star kahn in one of the roles interacting with this botte di natale cast, gives a twilight zone vibe, so strange they got her in a part for an episode (midsummer in daisy town) of this italian series but not in the troublemakers, she even delivers a joke aimed for adults but un noticeable for children, also i remember reading what an extraordinary theme song this series has got, i guess that could explain the much overlong opening, it is a fun opening though, especially with the little animal, also there is a different female lead in the troublemakers movie than this series but they sort of look and act alike roles, something that bugged me about this when i was a kid was how lucky luke doesn't dress like the cartoon version, but i guess it would really stand out in this real western setting and he would appear like a circus performer.
