Season 1 Episode 7 plot question.

It is revealed that the Korinkai (The Japanese organized crime organization) made clones of Marcelo Jarti by ghost dubbing even after "he died on them and they feared retaliation" (Motoko's words I believe). What's the point in making more clones after the real Jarti's death? Why do they care if Jenoma's hero of the revolution survives or not ?

Ghost dubbing is illegal so why risk exposure and serious charges in their home nation in order to satisfy the mystique that Jenoma's people have about Jarti? Motoko and Batou discuss that nobody in Jenoma knew that Jarti was dead, so I infer that the Korinkai were probably not getting paid to make more clones.Seems like they really went out of their way and took a lot of risk for nothing.
