Pretty typical question

Love the movie
Am loving the show.
But it's hard to outright declare it as amazing because WHY is Kusanagi dressed so scantily clad??? Is there a for real reason anchored in the narrative. I get it makes it cooler and hotter for most audiences but it seems so pointless I don't feel like recommebding this to anyone. Maybe if she had to be undercover as a prostitute or as in the first movie it helps the thermoptic camouflage or something.

Is there a reason other than "so nerds like the show"? It kind of discredits it....and I'm a dude who LOVES NUDITY!!!!
