Why do his litigants always mispronounce promissory?

I almost never watch this show, but without fail whenever I do at least one litigant mispronounces "promissory note" as "promissAry note"--and the judge never corrects them. The same thing used to happen on Judge Joe Brown, although not to the same degree, as I recall. (I watched that rarely, too.) I occasionally watch The People's Court--and when someone there mispronounces it, Judge Milian doesn't make a big deal out of correcting them but she sort of quietly repeats it, correctly. Like the litigant says, "he signed a promissAry note..." and then JM says, "so he signed a promissOry note..." and moves on.

Anyway, it grates on my nerves and I wish the judges on these shows would correct the litigants.
