YOU'RE NOT LIGHT SKINNED DELUSIONAL MATHIS

He is constantly calling himself light skinned when he's not. If this was back in the Jim Crow Era, he would NOT pass a brown paper bag or comb test. He's a regular brown skinned person, he must have a complex or something. Beyonce (without a tan or bronzer) is light skinned, Chris brown is light skinned, comedian Sinbad is light skinned, Heavy D was light skinned, this annoying judge is not.

i never heard him call himself that "constantly".

I've heard him say this several times, who cares if you didn't clean your ears.

and this is a problem because?

@bbb

I've never heard him call himself "light-skinned," and I've been a fan of the show for years--he must have been joking like he usually does.

there are different types of lite skinned though. if u dont think mathis is lite skinned then u must feel the same way about will smith too. i would consider mathis lite skinned but of course there are lighter blacks like drake, chris brown, terrence howard, lenny kravitz, shemar moore etc.....

reply

he's no kind of light skinned though

No Roger, no Rerun, no rent

Can he pass a brown paper bag test?

He is the one calling himself light skin, which he is not. It's not like I came on here for no reason pointing out skin tone.

If I can try to clear this up, Sure antebellum south had the Brown paperbag for certain elitist memberships, but prior to that not even Drake, Sinbad or Chris would fit the Jim Crow definition of light skinned which was people who looked of another race like Lena Horne or Adam Clayton Powell. You know who is to blame for the blanket, anything short of dark being called light? Rap music. I'm light skinned, I live in Queens. From that early 80s on Richard Pryor, Stevie Harvey, Run and DMC,Nas, LL, Mike Epps and even Denzel could fit this broad idea of light skinned.
