Clearly Mathis is gay. Look at how many of his shows have gay people in them. More than any other judge on TV. He tells his producers, "Get me some gay people on my show cause I love's to watch their butt cheeks." Yes, that is a direct quote.

And he forces his bailiff to wear black, because black is beautiful.

And WHERE do I find this DIRECT quote? Do you honestly believe the saying "black is beautiful" has ANYTHING to do with clothes?

I am an African American and I have all colors of clothes in my wardrobe. Whether I'm wearing black, red, gray, white, etc., my BLACKNESS is still beautiful. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with the color clothes I'm wearing.

I really hope your post was sarcasm. If not, what a moron.

I think he was raised by women so it stands to reason that he would sound a little swishy when he gets excited. Culturally it's not fair to compare Black and Latino images of masculinity to say an old school Alex Trebek White type where the definition is narrow, rigid and conservative. Tupac wore shower head wraps, admitted to being someone swishy, knew that it came from lack of male role models and was butch enough to skewer anyone who crossed him. I use to work with a beloved know it all who when expounding on ideas had a similar smiling, sing songy speaking style as Mathis (when he wants you to agree and finishes with Ok). This is only 2 people who happen to be of different genders speaking similarly. I fondly think of her when watching Mathis. I could see how someone might think him too outgoing for a guy, but that's when cultural difference should be remembered.

He has a gay brother and talks about how gays are treated sometimes. His brother is lucky to have such an accepting family.
