Lack of blue eyes a real mistake

Hitler had intense, magnetically powerful blue eyes... Carlyle has a very intense stare- if they had made the contacts bluer, more vivd, this could have been incredible.

Instead his eyes appear black, colourless.... this is a massive misjudgement on the part of the producer/director team.

I wonder why....
