saw it again today,brilliant

I saw this when it was first broadcast ,but got the dvd cheap and watched it all in one go tonight.
I benefitted from watching it in one marathon session.
It was much better than I remembered.
It was hard at first to remember all four lead characters but it was worth the effort.
It looked wonderful, was well scripted and and acted.

One thing I noticed in particular is that they all drank alcohol a lot.
They must have been drunk half the time.

I knew a little of the story before watching it but wondered if there were any great liberties taken with the script to make it more interesting, how accurate is it? in particular did the scene with Franco really happen?

I finished the series last night, and yes, it was very, very good. However I liked Reilly: Ace of Spies better, and also A Perfect Spy.

eeek. Andrews and Staunton weren't 'WE'. They were George VI and Queen Eliz (The Queen Mum). 'WE' was George's older brother, Edward 'E', who abdicated to be with Wallis 'W' Simpson.
