i am sorry to say, but i doubt it is releasing february 23, 2007, because every other website has pushed "Zamaanat" to April. Strangely, indiafm had an article in December saying that January 5, 2007 was confirmed for release, but then nothing else was written after. PLEASE RELEASE THIS FILM! OR ATLEAST ON DVD or something, what is S. Ramnathan waiting for, because if its an open weekend, he's not gonna get that any time. ANyways, this year would be a good year to release it. After "Eklavya" os getting rave reviews, and "Nishabd" releasing on March 2, "Zamaanat" would do well in April. Other Amitabh releases include "Cheeni Kum", "God Tussi Great Ho", "Shootout At Lokhandwalla", and "Ram Gopal Ke Sholay"

It is getting more and more stupid,

amitabhbachchan.net is now showing the release date as March 2nd same as Nishabd.................Nishabd may not get released due to the the movie name, as this name has alreday been used in bengali movie and the nmae is coprighted protected!!

Is S. Ramathaan causing the delay? a company called London International Arts (I think) have bought the distribtion rights, they recently released ANWAR

Most of us have grown up listening to a moral folk tale describing the false hue and cry raised by a boy about a lion. And when the lion actually comes, nobody goes to his help and he is ultimately devoured by the beast.

Something similar is happening with the release of ZAMAANAT round the corner. A decade in the making, the film has come near to its release at least a dozen of times in last 2 years. Especially towards the last quarter of 2006, the film had almost made it to the theaters.

Slowly the buzz died down about the film and it seemed unlikely that the film would ever make it to the screens. But now, an announcement around the release of the film next week i.e. March 02, is raising quite a few eyebrows.

Though the promotion of the film has begun again and even trade is acknowledging the fact that the film would after all release as per the new date, the folk tale of 'lion and a boy' continues to be remembered.

Ok, now I'm not saying anything at all (I have my fingers crossed so tightly i think they have stuck together) i read this news on indiafm today as well. And under releases, its said Big B. Versus Big B. and i clicked it. To my surprise the releases for next week were written "Nehle Pe Dehla" (Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu, and Kim Sherma), "Nishabd" (Amitabh Bachchan, Revathy, Aftab Shivdasani, and introducing Jiah Khan), and to my sweet surprise "Zamaanat" (Amitabh Bachchan, Vijayashanti, Karishma Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and Anupam Kher) Things are looking sweet, but as i mentioned in my first sentence, I'm not saying anything at all.
